LOST….

Into the dark alley,

A flickering light above,

It wasn’t a random sally!

I think I was in love…

I walked on without direction,

Into the unknown,

No sense of hesitation…

My hair stood, wind blown.

Oblivious to the world,

I continued in this “dream”…

When a pool of water was hurled,

Yes, I did scream!

Drenched I was, more aware,

And sat by the road, upon a dark stair…

A gruff voice was called, “Lost! Are you?”

I scurried. In a shaky voice, “No, that isn’t true!”
